Chinese  Consolidated  Benevolent  Association

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) of Portland, Oregon is pleased to host an annual dinner honoring the high school graduating seniors on the first Monday in May. All seniors of at least one-half ethnic Chinese ancestry graduating from high schools in Oregon in June are invited as guests of CCBA. Parents, grandparents, family, and friends of students are also invited.

Since 1963 this annual dinner is a great cultural event where the students can meet many of their peers to share common goals and interest. Awards for citizenship, athletic and special achievements are also presented to the selected students at the dinner.

This is also a great opportunity for the parents to meet other parents in the community. Because of the diverse Chinese population living in all parts of the Metro area and other parts of the State it is increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to reach all of the students. We need your help!

If you are a graduating senior or have a child or grandchild that is graduating this

June, please contact the Dinner Committee before March 10th by calling:

Gloria Wong at 236-7966 email:   maotd@msn.com   or

Jimmie Luey at 246-6722 email:   jminluey@aol.com

They will need the student’s name, address, telephone number and name of high school so members of the Committee can call the students and confirm their

high school information. Formal invitations to the students and their parents will go out in early April so we need to hear from you as soon as possible.

DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS EVENT!
